A Story of Courage – Home to Edward Atslowe, supporter of Mary Queen of Scots.
1723–1821
The De Beauvoir Era Downham Hall became the seat of the De Beauvoir family, whose legacy lives on in the elegant De Beauvoir Suite.

A New Chapter Begins Christina and Andrew restored the manor, transforming two semi-detached houses into one unified Georgian home.

A Labour of Love
In 2017, we (Christina and Andrew) discovered the potential in what were then two semi-detached houses and embarked on a mission to merge them back into one magnificent destination.
This was a labour of love, all the more adventurous with three small children in tow. After years of careful renovation, the result is a space that honours its Georgian character while offering the warmth and comfort of a truly welcoming family-run venue.
