Directions from Brentwood
By Car
From Chelmsford city centre, head towards New London Road and follow signs for Galleywood. Continue straight over the roundabout onto Wood Street (Tesco will be on your left).
At the mini roundabout, turn right onto Galleywood Road/B1007 and follow the road through Galleywood. Continue straight over the next two roundabouts and proceed for approximately 0.8 miles.
Turn left onto Downham Road and follow for 1.5 miles. Then turn left onto Hawkswood Road and continue for 1 mile. Turn right onto Crowsheath Lane and follow for 0.5 miles.
Turn left onto School Road and follow for just under half a mile until you reach a bend in the road. At this bend, turn right onto Castledon Road. Continue along Castledon Road until you reach St Margaret’s Church — Downham Hall is located just past the church on the left-hand side.
