North Wing Restaurant is our award-winning restaurant situated within our historic Georgian manor house.
Open to all, our award-winning restaurant has earned 2 AA Rosettes for culinary excellence and TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award, placing it amongst the top 10% of restaurants worldwide – recognition we’re incredibly proud of as a small, family-run team dedicated to making every visit memorable.
The Setting
Most of our dining takes place in the elegant De Beauvoir Suite, where period features and contemporary comfort create an atmosphere that’s both refined and wonderfully relaxed.
For breakfast and lunch, we also welcome guests to our light-filled Orangery, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame views across rolling Essex countryside. It’s a beautiful spot to start your day or to settle in for a leisurely lunch overlooking the grounds.
From Local Farms to Your Plate
Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with neighbouring farms and trusted Essex producers. This means our menus evolve with the seasons, showcasing ingredients at their best. Whether it’s vegetables and quality meat from local farms, or market-fresh fish, every ingredient is fresh and chosen with care. That attention to detail shows in every dish, carefully crafted by our talented chefs.
What We Serve
Our restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also serve our popular Sunday Lunch, beautifully crafted Afternoon Tea as well as smaller options such as High Tea and Tea & Cake. We also offer private dining for those special occasions.
