There’s nothing quite like Christmas at our beautifully decorated manor house. We have a range of wonderful festive events in store to make your Christmas magical, from festive wreath making and Supper with Santa to party nights with cocktails, DJ and dancing in our brand-new luxury barn. And don’t forget our extremely popular Festive afternoon teas and Christmas set lunches, which are available throughout November and December. Festive Wreath Making
Various dates in November and 1st December | 6.45 arrival for 7pm start, finishing at 9.30pm

Nothing brings the festive season to life quite like an evening of creativity, good company and a cocktail in hand. Set in our elegant new barn, you’ll be welcomed with a delicious festive cocktail and enjoy beautifully crafted canapes from our 2 AA Rosette awarded kitchen. You’ll then be guided through the art of wreath making with our incredible florist TJ Designer Group, who creates all the floral magic here at Downham Hall. All materials are included, everything you need for a truly special evening.
You’ll leave with a stunning wreath to hang on your door and plenty of festive memories to go with it.

Festive Afternoon Tea

Whether you’re catching up with friends, enjoying time with family, or celebrating with colleagues, our incredibly popular Festive Afternoon Tea located in our brand new luxury barn, is the perfect way to embrace the spirit of the season. We have dates for Festive Afternoon Tea starting from the last weekend in November and throughout December.
Our Festive Afternoon Tea combines the elegance of our traditional service with beautifully crafted seasonal treats from our talented pastry chef and includes a glass of Prosecco or soft drink alongside a choice of teas and locally roasted coffee.
For a truly celebratory experience, join us on Saturdays when a live singer fills our festively decorated luxury barn with seasonal music.

Festive Murder Mystery Evening
Wednesday 9th December | 6.45pm – 10pm
£55 per person
Professional chefs are battling it out at the Annual Christmas Cook-off Bonanza, with a £100,000 prize up for grabs. But before the Head Judge can deliver the verdict, they’re found poisoned. Someone in this kitchen has a very different agenda.
This Christmas, Downham Hall is teaming up with Moonstone Murders for a festive evening of murder mystery, packed with plot twists, suspicious suspects and plenty of red herrings. Arrive at 6.45pm for a 7pm start, enjoy a 2-course dinner in our 2 AA Rosette restaurant, and see if you can solve the crime.

Supper with Santa

Save the date: Saturday 5th December for the ultimate Christmas party! Join us from 7pm to 12am for a night of 2 AA Rosette dining, DJ and dancing in our beautiful new luxury barn. The perfect Christmas night out for corporate teams and groups of friends; all the fun, none of the planning. Gather your friends, family or colleagues and we’d love to welcome you for an evening to remember.
Your ticket includes a welcome drink on arrival (choose from Prosecco, beer or elderflower spritzer), followed by a two-course dinner and an evening of dancing with our DJ. The barn will be decked, the bar will be stocked and the dancefloor ready.

Christmas Day Lunch

Spend Christmas Day with us at Downham Hall. Our De Beauvoir Suite and Georgian manor will be dressed for the occasion, offering a wonderfully festive setting for families to enjoy a special Christmas lunch together.
Arrive at 12.30pm for a 1pm start, with lunch served until 4pm. Our chefs will be putting their own Downham Hall twist on the Christmas classics, with a Turkey Wellington as the centrepiece alongside traditional trimmings, Christmas pudding, and fish and vegetarian options for those who prefer something different.

Looking for the perfect venue for your corporate Christmas party? Downham Hall offers a range of exclusively hired spaces for midweek celebrations, whatever the size of your group.
Choose from our Orangery, with panoramic countryside views and space for up to 30 seated or standing; our elegant De Beauvoir Suite, accommodating up to 45 seated or 50 standing; or our luxury barn, perfect for larger celebrations of up to 100 seated or 180 standing.
From festive buffets to three-course dinners from our 2 AA Rosette kitchen, we’ll work with you to create a menu that suits your event. Your hired space is exclusively yours, giving you the freedom to personalise every detail. We have a range of trusted suppliers to help bring your vision to life, from DJs, singers and live musicians to photo booths, wreath making workshops and crazy golf.
