From Basildon town centre, take the A176 northbound toward Billericay. Continue for approximately 4 miles through the Cranes Farm Road roundabout. As you approach Billericay, turn right onto the A129 (London Road) toward Wickford. After approximately 2 miles, turn left onto Castledon Road. Downham Hall’s entrance is on your right, just before the church.

From Basildon’s Eastgate Shopping Centre area, take the A132 north to Wickford, then follow the A129 westbound toward Billericay for approximately 2 miles before turning right onto Castledon Road.

Debra, our wedding co-ordinator, was amazing — she helped plan the day and ensured everything we wanted was included, even ordering in Guinness for the evening!
In the lead-up to the wedding, we visited several times for dinner and lunch, and Christina and Andrew would always say hello and ask if we were excited — a lovely personal touch that showed how much they cared.
The food was outstanding. Our favourite was the Amalfi lemon tart, and every allergy and intolerance was catered for flawlessly. I can’t praise the chef highly enough.
Downham Hall is an amazing venue for weddings, events, or simply a wonderful dinner or afternoon tea. We can’t recommend them enough.
